Sleepy Wrap: A Place of Comfort

Having two little ones two and under makes life hard sometimes.  They both want to be held at the same time, they both want attention, and going shopping is my worst nightmare.  Gabriel doesn't ride in a stroller well and hates being in his car seat while we shop.  I have learned that baby wearing is my way of managing shopping in a comfortable manner for all of us.  I don't have to worry about a heavy stroller and Gabriel is peaceful.  I am also able to get household chores done with a carrier because Gabriel feels close and my hands are free.

Sleepy Wrap just sent me a very interesting baby carrier to try.  They call it the "best place after the womb" and after seeing how comfortable babies seem in it - it definitely seems true.

When I first received the Sleepy Wrap to review, I was intimidated.  There was so much material!  It was bigger than me and since I am very petite I was afraid this wasn't going to work.  I have tried some carriers and slings that just do not work for me because of how short I am.  It did take some adjusting and some learning but I have now learned how to use this baby carrier properly and love it.

At first, Gabriel wasn't so sure he liked this new carrier because he is now four months old and not doesn't need to feel like he is in the womb anymore.  He a moving boy and doesn't always like to be constricted.

After some adjustment and mommy learning how to use the Sleepy Wrap right, he became more comfortable and now it enjoys it too.  My favorite things about the Sleepy Wrap is how close you are to baby.  Gabriel is able to snuggle close and feel secure as we walk around.  I also love the material on the Sleepy Wrap.  It has a fantastic feel and is definitely high quality without the cost of other slings and carriers.

I also love that you do not have sizes with the Sleepy Wrap.  As a shorter person, I have struggled with sling sizes and this carrier is definitely functional and practical for all mommy and baby sizes up to one years old.  I did try this carrier with my 2 year old because she also loves to be carried in the slings and carriers but this one just didn't work for her.  I found that it did not properly support her 30 pounds and is designed for a smaller child.

I really love the Sleepy Wrap better than my other wraps for my newborn son because of the closeness and security that we both feel when I wear him in this carrier.  I also love the price!  $39.99 is very reasonable for a carrier that I use daily and will get a lot of use out of for the next year.

I wanted to share some photos with you but unfortunately every time I wore Gabriel and used the Sleepy Wrap, I was either shopping and forgot the camera or no one was around to take the picture.

Sleepy Wrap would definitely be a great baby shower gift!   You can purchase the Sleepy Wrap from their online website.  You can also use the coupon code "Keeper" to take 10% off your order until January 19, 2010!
