We're Adopting!
Every since I saw the eyes of this beautiful boy that we are getting I have been in love. He is four years old, has a wonderful temperament, and will make a great addition to our family.
On December 20th, we will pick up our new boy and I believe that we love him just as much as the rest of our family. I can hardly wait and am definitely counting the days. What a wonderful Christmas we will have.
His name is Winter and he is part Golden Retriever and Part Husky. He is a rescue whose owner is now having to say goodbye. He currently lives in Texas but my sister will be bringing home to stay with us. We can hardly wait!

YAY! And good for you! We adopted out last dog when he was about 4 and it was the best thing we did. Sadly he passed last year and now we are getting a puppy...I'm scared! (more scared than I was when I found out I was pregnant, lol!) Can't wait to see pics!! xoxox, Sarah

Hurray, and congrats!
That's so awesome! I LOVE rescue dogs, i've had a lot of dogs in my lifetime and rescues are always just that little more aware of how lucky they are in life. Congratulations!
Congrats on the new addition to the family. We adopted a 2 year old dog. I like that he was past that puppy stage and house broken.
Oh wow, I will be really interested to see pics. My dog who we put down a few weeks ago was a Husky Retriever mix and he lived for 16 long years! Congrats on your new addition :)
I love rescue dogs! Our Smokey was adopted in July :-)
We're still blending with our rescue guard dog. His owners were old and he was too much dog for them to handle. The prison system here took him and trained him. They (the prison sytem gets dogs from private owners giving their dogs away and also from the pound) then train them and the money you pay helps pay for the dogs vet bills, and food at the prison. A small portion of the money also goes to the prisoner, who uses this money once they go into a half-way house, or if they have to pay restitution for a crime they committed. It helps the prisoners learn self-discipline, to feel unconditional love etc..
Congrats, New house, new dog....yay!
