Baby So Smart: A Most Practical Baby Purchase! Review and Giveaway {Ends 10/31}

You are almost guaranteed as a new parent to be overwhelmed with all the products that are out there for new babies.  There is an over abundance of baby items and if you are not careful you will waste your money on things that your baby will hardly ever use.

There is one item that I regret getting with my daughter that I now have with my son and that is a Baby So Smart ring sling.  You may be thinking that because I got to review it that is why I am saying this.  There is nothing farther from the truth.  While I did receive a Baby So Smart Ring Sling (pictured on the right) to review, I most definitely would have purchased one on my own if I had know just how much I would use it.

I was sent the beautiful Lime Retro Floral Demi Sling (this is the one pictured on the right) and I fell in love immediately.  The silk used in this sling is beautiful and durable.  I have used slings before and have several but have never used a ring sling.  I had been turned off from slings by the ones I had used in the past and wondered how this was any different.

I have used this sling almost everyday!  It is rare for a day to go by without using it.  It is extremely well made and beautiful.  I love how the rings make it so that you can wear this in the most comfortable positions for you and baby.

Gabriel loves this sling and we go everywhere with it.  When we walk to the park or post office, he rides in the sling as his sister runs around.  I have used this while shopping and it allows me to have both hands free.

The other great thing about this is how easily I can nurse Gabriel in it.  The ring sling is designed to allow you to carry baby in many positions and while Gabriel and I both prefer the tummy to tummy position, if he is hungry, he goes into the cradle position.  He will often eat and fall asleep and no one knows I fed him - he honestly looks like he is sleeping.

The sling has lots of extra material that allows me to cover Gabriel's head while he is eating.  There is also a wonderful tail on the sling.  This tail allows me to cover Gabriel's head against the sun and cold.  There is also a wonderful pocket where I can put my keys, diapers, wipes, just about anything I so desire.  This sling has made life so much easier.

My husband and I have both decided that my Baby So Smart sling is the most practical baby item ever.  I have gotten more use out of my sling than ANY other item we have purchased.  I would definitely purchase another one from Baby So Smart and have my eye on the Francesca pictured above.  I love that not only Gabriel can be worn in it but that it is sturdy enough to carry up to 35 pounds which allows Gracie to be worn in it - which she loves!  Gracie waits for Gabriel to get out so that she can get in!

I have been asked so many times by other women and even men where I got my sling.  One man told me that because Gabriel looked so comfortable and I looked like I could get so much done that he just had to get one for his wife!  And in case you think that only you can wear it, my husband has worn the sling and loves it too!

Baby So Smart has so many different styles and fabrics to choose from.  Their Artistic Slings are just beautiful.  Both the blue butterfly and black one pictured here are from the Artistic line.   These slings while being practical will stand out and compliment whatever you are wearing.  As a mother the last thing we want is to wear something that is ugly and unflattering so these slings are definitely a plus to our wardrobes as mothers.

Did you know that a baby that is worn will oftentimes be more secure, safe, meet his developmental goals earlier or right on time, be happier, and more content?  Gabriel is an extremely content baby and loves it when mommy babywears him.  I am a babywearing blogging mommy and wouldn't change it for the world.

Really as a frugal woman and a keeper of my home, this is a purchase I would definitely make.  I can get things done with my hands free during the day and this allows for Gabriel to be content and still held.
