Moen: Eco-Friendly, Great Quality Rainshower Showerhead Giveaway CLOSED

Right after we obtained the keys to our house, our journey of fixing this
place up began. We began by ripping up carpet, caulking, and readying the house for new paint. As we created mini havoc in our new house, we began to see much needed repairs and things that really needed to go.

Enter our showerhead! I really do not know how old it was but it was DISGUSTING. I almost didn't want to take a shower because it was gross and nasty. There was mold and calcium build up from the bad water our town has. My dad estimates that the showerhead was maybe 5 years old and that is our thought also because the rest of it doesn't look that bad.

It was a shame to see a showerhead not last long but you can tell the quality of the showerhead by how long it lasts. When we had the chance to review the Moen Velocity Rainshower Showerhead, we were definitely excited. I am a huge fan of Moen products because of their durability, great quality, and more and more Moen is devoted to making their products eco-friendly. Being eco-friendly isn't just good for the environment but can save a household quite a bit of money.

My husband was able to install this showerhead in less than 5 minutes and it was super easy. The first thing I noticed was how large this showerhead is. When I picked it up out of the box, it wasn't one you could hold with one hand – you had to have two hands holding it. It is huge! I also noticed how pretty this showerhead looked. We received the chrome one and the only thing I didn't like was how easy my fingerprints smudged it up. Since it is in the shower though, I don't see this being a big deal.

Now installed, this showerhead is amazing! If I ever move from this house, this showerhead is coming with me. I know that sounds funny but this showerhead is phenomenal. It's spray power is great considering it is a rainshower and some of those can have terrible spray power. It also covers your entire body with water because of how large the showerhead is.  It is 8 inches in diameter!

Another huge plus about this showerhead is that it uses less water than other one. We noticed this immediately because now instead of one shower on our hot water tank, we can now get two showers. This showerhead is already conserving water for us which is saving us money.

The showerhead has been installed for two months now and not a single bit of the water build-up and other nasty stuff that we saw on the other showerhead is evident. We love this showerhead and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to put good quality showerheads in their homes. My dad has owned apartments for well twenty years now and when he remodels an apartment, the only brand of faucets, showerheads, or any type of hardware of that kind that he will use is Moen.

The only drawback to the Moen brand is the cost but if you are looking for long-lasting – that alone will cover the cost.  Their motto is "Buy it for looks, buy it for life" and they truly stand behind that!
