This Week's Grocery Store Round Up! 8/16 - 8/22, 2009

This is the newest addition to Money Saving Tips for a Keeper at Home and I hope to do this each week for all of my readers. I know many of you have different stores all over the region so I thought I would help you out by listing your store along with the links to the deals for your particular store. Be A Schoolebrity - Get Free School Supplies from Kmart!

Kmart is running a special promotion right now to help moms save money on school supplies. Every week they have different free items that you can receive when you spend $15 on the things your child needs. Here is the schedule that they have going on until the end of August:

Week of Aug. 1 – 8: Free 70-page theme book with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 9 – 15: Free Woodcase pencils with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 16 – 22: Free Kleenex with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 23 – 29: Free Sharpie with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Make sure you check the Kmart ad each week to find out what they have on sale to make this an even better deal!

Kmart Double Coupon Deals

For those of you enjoying Kmart Doubling Days, I thought I would share the list of Kmart deals. Due to not feeling well this week, I am instead going to direct you to Mercede at Common Sense with Money for the list that she has compiled. This is a very extensive and thorough list. Have a great time shopping at Kmart and be sure to drop a comment letting us know how you did!

Kmart Double Coupons - 7/5 - 7/11, 2009

For those who maybe looking forward to another double couponing event at Kmart, next week is the week for you! They will double all coupons up to $2.00. So if you have coupons that are $2.00, they will double to $4.00. They have also changed policies and instead of using 25 coupons, you will only be allowed to double up to 10 a day. This is disappointing but I'm sure you all can still get some great deals.

Here's what I will be looking for:

Huggies Baby Wipes - $1.99
Use $1.00/1 coupon from 4/19 Smart Source coupon insert
Free after coupon is doubled

WD-40 Smart Straw - $2.23
Use WD-40's Smart Straw - $1.00/1
$.23 after coupon is doubled

Clean and Clear Astrigent - $4.40
Use $2.00 printable coupon
$.40 after coupon is doubled

As I see other deals for Kmart, I will let you know. We stocked up on quite a bit of personal care and cleaning supplies last time Kmart had this deal. It was well worth the time and the hassle even though it was a little stressful. My best advice is go prepared and clip the coupons you want to use before you go to the store. After that, get in and get out! :-) I was in there for over two hours last time! Too long for me.

Kmart Doubling Days Again!! - 5/3 - 5/9

I just got off the phone with our Grand Forks Kmart and the weekly ad said that they would be doubling coupons up to $.75 but this is not accurate. They will be doubling coupons up to $2.00! So get your coupons out and find those deals that you look forward to when Kmart doubles!

Kmart Double Coupon Update

Today has been a busy day for me - I just finished a database for all of my coupons, 25 pages later and I'm finally done. I will hopefully be posting that soon. I know some of you have been impatient to read the information but please bear with me as this site is run all on personal time and I do still have a family to take care of.

I just got off the phone with Grand Forks Kmart customer service and this is the information I received:

1) They will accept printable coupons - no Buy One's Get One's, no Free items, and the coupon must scan at the register, they will not be keying them in.

2) All coupons up to and including $2.00 will be doubled. So if you have a $2.00 coupon for Secret Flawless deodorant, it will double to $4.00. (Thanks for the tip from one of my readers!)

3) It is recommended not to use coupons good for two items, such as $1.00/2 poptarts. This will only double for one item and kind of messes things up a little. You can use this but it is slightly more complicated.

$.50 after doubled coupon

Pop tarts -3/$5
$1/2 off coupon from 2/22 Red Plum Coupon Insert
.57 after .55/1 or .67 after doubled coupon

Extra!! Extra!! Doubling Day at Kmart - 3/22 - 3/28

Next week will be doubling days at K-mart. This means that you will be able to take your coupons into Kmart and they will double your coupons up to $2.00. That means if you have $1.50 coupon they will only increase to $2.00. This what I understand the ad to read. If this changes, I will let you know. This can be a great deal on many things. I already saw some great deals and I will update you on them as soon as I can put it together. According to the ad, internet coupons will not be accepted but I have a letter from corporate Kmart saying that they are now accepting internet coupons so we will just have to see if they will take them.

Below you can read the restrictions for the coupons, on here they do not state they will not accept internet coupons. This come straight from corporate Kmart:

Amount of credit from doubling or tripling a coupon cannot exceed the
current retail price of a single item. No cash or in-store purchase
credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the
item. Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be
doubled or tripled per item. You may only purchase 4 of the same item
using double or triple coupons. Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart Savings
coupons, Kmart Pharmacy and Kmart Store coupons are excluded from this
promotion. Coupons do not apply to sales tax. Limit 25 coupons per
customer per day. Copies of manufacturer instant coupons are not valid.
Offer excludes products prohibited by law, including but not limited to
alcohol, tobacco, and prescription medication. Not valid on
non-merchandise, federal or state regulated items, prior purchases,
Lands? End, Sears merchandise rung on Sears registers within Kmart and
Kmart.com. In the event of a return, coupon savings may be deducted
from the refund.

Kmart Double Coupons

In the Grand Forks region and many across the nation, the week of February 22nd will mark a big week at Kmart. Get your Kmart ad and gather your coupons because they will doubling your coupons. I am not sure at this time if they will accept printed coupons but I do know that they will accept manufactor coupons from your coupon flyers and other places you may have saved coupons. For those of you not in the Grand Forks region, check here to see if your store is participating.

Here is the e-mail that I received when I contacted Kmart and asked about this promotion. It will give you all the information you need to know:
