Super Savings Thursday!

I'm back to couponing! I had taken a short break off because I just did not have the energy with the new baby. It has been an entire month since I went grocery shopping to we needed EVERYTHING! We have had someone picking up diapers for us and I did a short run for them last week but that was it.

I'm sorry that this is a pictureless post but after our shopping trip, everyone exhausted including mommy. It was the most I could do to get dinner on the table and the groceries put away. I will tell you my totals though.

My Target trip came to $84.35 and I paid $24.16. I saved 72% at Target! At Target, I picked up Bic Mechanical Pencils ($.24), Bic Pens (free), Pampers Diapers ($5.99), Pampers Wipes (free), Poptarts ($.22), Glade Candle (free), Bananas ($.08 a pound) and several other things.

At Walmart, my total came $162 and I paid $112, which is 30% saved. That is not nearly as good but I desperately needed things that would make full meals and lunches. Unfortunately I have missed some stocking up times by not clipping coupons and buying when things were on sale but I still did well.

My total today came to $246.35 and I paid $134.16. I saved 46% on all of my groceries! My goal is normally to spend $40 a week on groceries and I bought enough today to last me 3 weeks because it is harder to shop with little people especially newborns so I just went a little over my normal budget.

How did you do this week? Did you get some great deals and save some money? Leave a comment either linking to your blog post about this or just tell me how you did. I love to hear it and it encourages others that EVERYONE can do this.

My Super Deals!

Here are the great deals that I got today. I stopped at CVS, Target, Walmart, Sam's Club, and Kmart. I do not normally go to so many different places but because of the extra cooking I am doing for the new baby freezer stash. My total came to $201.76 and I paid $57.34! I saved 72% on my bill and I am extremely happy with my purchases. My husband says that I stole from the store and that they are going to be hunting me to down for stealing :-) I did go a little over our $50 a week grocery spending but because of the extra cooking that I am doing, we decided that our budget could afford it. It has been almost 2 weeks since I went last time.

Would you like to know what is in the above pictures? You may notice some different items but there are somethings that I would not have gotten if they had not been free. I don't just buy them because they are free but my husband enjoys trying some of these things that we would not normally buy. So far we have not grown attached to anything that we have gotten for free.

Not included in the above picture is a container of All-Natural Breyers Ice Cream, Charcoal Burquettes (my husband was getting ready to grill :-)), and a pack of 12 hamburger buns (they just wouldn't fit on the table!

My favorite things of the day were the 6 GE Energy Saving Bulbs (I had these on raincheck for a $1.00 a piece along with a $1.00 coupon for each), 3 packs of diapers (Kmart doubling days - $5.99 each pack), Nature Source Window Cleaner (Kmart doubling days - $.79), Dove SkinVitalizer (CVS - $.50 each), and the Aveeno products (including baby sunblock) (CVS).

Did you get any great deals this week? Why not share them? Leave a comment with your great deals or leave your link to your blog post. It is always fun to see how others have saved.

My Target Super Savings

I had not planned to do any grocery shopping this week but then we found out that I had doctor's appointment today so we decided that we would get the few things we did need and pick up the deals at Target that I knew of. This was the first time my husband had been with me to see what it is like to do shopping this way and he was bragging as we left the store. It was quite funny to see and I couldn't help but laugh.

We also put 6 GE lightbulbs for $1.00 on raincheck. This nice because I will get them at this price up until May 5th and my coupon is good until May 15th so we should still be able to get these lightbulbs for free!

Not bad for a day when I made a few mistakes - I bought one wrong applesauce and forgot my coupon for my potatoes. Mistakes will happen but don't worry about it because it is all a great learning process!

Did you get great deals this week? Why not share them? Send me an e-mail at couponmomma2009@gmail.com with your great deals and I will post them as guest posts throughout this week! Include a picture if you can but if you can't, we still want to see your deals!

My Fanastic Walgreens Trip!

My trip to Walgreens was a great success. A friend and I went down together so that we could get some exceptional deals on diapers. All together we brought home 20 packs of diapers and 4 large packs of baby wipes. The cashiers at both Walgreens were extremely kind and friendly. They did their best to help even though we thoroughly cleaned them out of all the Huggies diapers they had!

In the picture above are all the products from Walgreens. I'm going to list for you everything I bought and the total and the amount saved. I will also list next to the items their normal price. Some items are fillers. Fillers are items that you buy so that the cashier can ring up all your items with the coupons. I will note those in my list. I would not normally purchase these fillers but I'm sure I will find someone who take them off my hands. :-)

16 packs of diapers - $11.99 each - $191.84
2 pack of wipes - $7.99 each - $15.98
